Sponsored Research

The Office of Sponsored Research facilitates, and provides leadership and support to students, the faculty and other Bucknell University staff in their research and creative efforts. This office proactively strives to foster an environment to encourage and reward the research and creative accomplishments of faculty, students, and staff. This office identifies and creates opportunities for financial support of these activities, while protecting the University's interests and remaining compliant with relevant Federal regulations, sponsor guidelines and individual award terms and conditions. Undergraduate Research

Bucknell students often say some of their most meaningful academic experiences are the research projects they undertake with faculty mentors. Even first-year students are sometimes invited to take part in scholarly projects with their professors. Programs are available in biology, chemistry, engineering, animal behavior, physics, geology and psychology. Additionally, Bucknell sponsors the MJcKenna Summer Environmental Internship. (learn more)
