Student in Bucknell Physics Lab

What is the nature of time and distance? How did the universe begin, and what is its ultimate fate? What is matter and energy, really? What are the limits of what we can know about the universe?

Bucknell's physics and astronomy program covers the breadth of modern physics. Students and faculty work together to understand the universe, from the smallest sub-atomic particles to the large-scale structure of the universe.

What's Happening

Professor Allers, along with four Bucknell undergraduates, presented papers at the 217th meeting of the American Astronomical Society, Seattle, WA, on January 12, 2011.

Katarina Vollmayr-Lee recently published an article with undergraduate co-author Jake Roman. "Aging to equilibrium dynamics of SiO2," Phys. Rev. E, 81, 061203 (2010).
