A Message from the President

Bucknell University provides a great environment for graduate work at the master’s degree level. As a nationally distinguished liberal arts university with an undergraduate curriculum of a scope few institutions of our size can match, Bucknell provides an ideal setting for graduate students looking for intensive, personal educational and professional opportunities. Capitalizing on our broad undergraduate curriculum, we concentrate our master’s degrees in a small and select number of fields, provide a favorable student-faculty ratio, close studentfaculty collaboration, and excellent facilities for graduate students to rapidly develop their research and scholarship. All this occurs within our open and friendly University and Lewisburg communities, which together offer a wonderfully supportive environment for learning at the highest levels. We value the contribution of our graduate students to the life of the University, and offer to them academic opportunities that will ensure their success in graduate education beyond the master’s level or in the immediate pursuit of their professional careers.
